Vineyard
Vintage 2023
The early winter season was marked by a lack of rain but was followed by regular rainfalls throughout spring, allowing the vines to grow beautifully. The hot and dry summer led to thunderstorms before and during harvest which meant we had to go through a strict and tedious grape selection.
Winemaking
Wine-making process
Hand-picked grapes, spontaneous fermentation from native yeasts, 15-day maceration. 12-month aging in barrels and demi-muids (600 liters barrels). Malolactic fermentation complete.
Bottled in January 2025.
Tasting Notes
Black fruits with violet, cracked pepper and liquorice on the nose. The palate is delicate yet deep, with a fine, sappy concentration that fills the mouth without weight. Fine tannins and twelve months in barrels and demi-muids give shape to a long, distinctive finish.
