Winemaking
Vinification
The fruit was fermented as whole berries and whole bunches before pressing, then aged in French oak (20% new). The wine spent nine months in oak followed by two months in tank before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby. Forest floor, bramble and dark cherry on the nose, with a whole bunch lift of spice and florals. The palate has plenty of depth and complexity, layered red and dark fruit over a fine, savoury tannin frame. Cool, fresh acidity carries it to a long, earthy finish.
