2022 La Ferme de Sato Le Chant du Vent
We would like Chardonnay, 0.92 ha in total, to represent the whole of our estate as well as Pinot Noir. So we planted this variety across the 3 blocks from the top to the bottom of the estate.
Our vineyard has a great view, which means it is very exposed against the strong wind or gust and the vines and ourselves are forced to live with it. When it is very windy in the vineyard, some winds go through the holes on the vineyard posts and create sounds like flutes making all through the vineyard. It is like the vineyard is singing “song of the wind = Le Chant du Vent”.

Tasting Notes
Mandarin, quince and apple peel aromas with hints of almond and dried tea leaf. The palate has real mid-palate concentration, fleshy yet driven by a rocky, mineral line and bright, crystalline acidity. A liquorice undertow adds depth through a long and intriguing finish.
