Laura Lardy makes Gamay from four Beaujolais crus, Fleurie, Morgon, Chénas and Moulin-à-Vent, working from Fleurie.
Laura Lardy's wines come from four of the ten Beaujolais crus: Fleurie, Morgon, Chénas and Moulin-à-Vent. Fleurie is mostly pink granite, weathered into a light, sandy topsoil, and Moulin-à-Vent's granite sand is veined with manganese.
On Morgon's Côte du Py, thin, stony soils sit over blue-grey bedrock known locally as pierre bleue. The climate is oceanic with continental touches, and the Monts du Beaujolais shelter the crus from westerly winds.
Laura Lardy makes and bottles the wines under her own name in Fleurie.
