Single-hectare Avon Vineyard chardonnay from 1987 vines on quartz soils. Whole-bunch pressed and barrel fermented, with ten months on full lees giving a linear wine with fine chalky phenolics.

Tasting Notes
Awash with rich but focussed pineapple, buttered-toast aromatics with a limey, leesy complexity; the palate is full-bodied, brooding and intense. Classically Burgundian in oh-so-many ways, but with a Gippsland generosity of fruit and a lingering toasty finish.
